My name is Shauna, and I have lived my life with a passion for health and wellness.  For the last 10 years, I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist, assisting people move out of pain and into wellness.  I have worked with a variety of client populations, including athletes, people recovering from injuries or surgeries, people trying to avoid injuries or surgeries, people with mental health concerns, and people just needing to relax.  I use a variety of bodywork techniques to create treatments that are unique to each person's needs.  My studies in Oriental Medicine and Medical QiGong allow me to approach health and wellness from a different angle that can be quite beneficial.  I enjoy working with clients in bodywork, energy work, qigong, and nutritional counseling to help them meet their healthcare needs.

    • Gua Sha Free
Gua Sha is an ancient technique from China and Southeast Asia.  It is a scraping technique that uses a dull edged tool, such as a ceramic soup spoon, to repeatedly rub the skin.  In doing this, the body's capillaries are dialted strongly and blood flow to the area is enhanced greatly, resulting in redness that lasts for 3-5 days.  The treatment effectively reduces scar tissue, breaks up fascia, and relieves pain.
    • Cupping Free
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin.  This mobilizes blood flow in order to promote healing. Suction is created using heat (fire) or mechanical suction cups.  The suction can be beneficial to the soft tissue by using a pulling action rather than the traditional pushing motion.  It can help open the joints ever so slightly to allow room for blood flow and movement
